Airtable Consultant

Build Airtable systems live with enterprise teams in weekly sprints, and choose the projects you take on.

Role description

You design and build Airtable systems for marketing, creative and product operations teams at some of the largest Airtable customers in the world. Work runs in weekly sprints: you meet with the client a few times a week, build live on screen, and show progress they can use right away.

You own the build and the client relationship, with a project manager alongside you. This is a remote contract role.

Responsibilities

  • Build: Design data structures, automations, interfaces and integrations that teams use every day.
  • Run the sprint: Meet with clients a few times a week, build live, and leave every call with visible progress.
  • Earn adoption: Make systems simple enough that whole teams switch to them.
  • Communicate: Keep clients and your project manager current on progress, risks and next steps.
  • Hand off well: Document what you build so teams can run it without you.

Qualifications

  • A portfolio of Airtable systems you have shipped that real teams use
  • Depth across the data, automation and interface layers; scripting and custom interfaces are a plus
  • Clear, confident communication with client stakeholders
  • Comfort delivering fast in weekly cycles
  • Good overlap with US business hours
  • Freelance or consulting experience is a plus. Airtable certification is welcome but not required.

Why people join

  • Choose the projects you take on
  • No forced methodology. Build the way you work best.
  • Enterprise clients and large, high-impact Airtable systems
  • Growth tied to client results, not tenure
  • A pod of peers and a senior lead, inside a team of 150 certified consultants
  • 100% remote, from anywhere

Common questions

Is this a contract role?

Yes. Everyone on our delivery team starts as a contractor. Full-time roles open up over time, and many of our team choose to stay contractors for the flexibility.

Are hours guaranteed?

Work is project based, so hours aren't guaranteed. Your first project can take a few weeks to line up. Demand is high, and strong performers fill their schedules quickly.

Can I turn down a project?

Yes. You choose the projects that fit your skills and schedule.

Can I work from anywhere?

Yes. We hire worldwide. Most client calls happen during US business hours, so some overlap is important.

What does the hiring process look like?

An intro interview, a second interview with our co-founder, a background check and contract, then a one-week onboarding cohort with other new team members.

Can I keep my own clients?

Yes. Just let us know before taking work from another Airtable partner.

Who will I work with?

You join a pod of about seven people led by a senior team member, plus Slack support and a monthly team town hall.
